Newsbrief Juli 2019

30 Juli 2019

The last days in Spitsbergen …
While many of you were surviving the drastic heat here, we enjoyed for the most part wonderful weather about 1000 km from the North Pole (between 5-19 degrees now and then…).
During the last 6 weeks we were in the beautiful “High North”: Spitsbergen! We look back on very special trips there: a happy, creative trip, a geologist’s trip (discovering new interesting areas for us!) and a „children’s trip“: with 6 girls aged 3-7 years old and their parents. We made an impressive trip to almost 80 degrees north where we were visited by belugas and spotted 5 (!!!) polar bears.
The Anne-Margaretha is now on her way to Iceland: first spending a few days along the west coast of Norway, then the crossing over the Ocean to Northern Iceland. There we will start the end of August for the trip to Greenland!

Are there still availabilities in 2019?
Unfortunately, we are fully booked to the Netherlands, but next year will come faster than you think ….

The 2020 Program is Online!
The program 2020 (German, English, Dutch) can be read on our website.
Both the outward and return journeys to and from Spitsbergen go along the Norwegian coast. So there will be a Lofoten trip twice next year!
We already have bookings on multiple trips. If you want to be sure of a place on board, don’t wait too long to register…!
New descriptions for 2020 will follow later, but globally, all journeys can be read in the 2019 program.

We wish everyone a very nice summer!
Sailors greetings,
Greet and Heinz
